Crashing once game finishes loading.

The game crashes once it finishes loading, at first it crashed on startup, but I ran it in Compatibility mode. I think the issue may be due to my resolution but I can't be sure. Every other person with this issue has pointed to the Widescreen fix but I don't know what or where that is. I have the logs if needed as well.
1)Load game in compatibility mode
2)Get to the start menu
3)Click start new game
4)Crashes.

Does it freeze when the game is almost loaded?
