For those who are having problems passing the mission "Up, Up and Away!": Use the following strat to successfully pass it without any crashes:

1. Start and progress the mission normally until you destroy the enemy gunships.
2. Get in the helicopter and fly high above the sea. Use the route shown in the attached picture (red line).

3. DON'T TOUCH the winch controls at all (by default NUM2 and NUM8)
4. Once you picked up the truck, fly it directly to the airstrip and finish the mission.
5. Remember not to touch the winch controls at all times.

Hi thanks for replying, i tried your strat 6 times but the game crashes before i could even get far trying to follow the path. I also tried using a teleport mod to get to the van but as soon as i get close to the landing pad in the airport graveyard the game crashes. Since this is just a side mission i gave up and im just gonna wait till the next update for this to get patched and try again. My game may be crashing because of some mods that im using but i highly doubt it since they only change certain game elements and they don't affect the game that much.

some mods i use: regen mod, weapon inaccuracy mod, group adjustment mod, cops attack peds mod, hide from cops mod,
ped interact mod, explosion blur mod, and cellphone mod

You can send me your savefile on discord (RzDat#6446) and I can try to pass that mission for you, However I don't guarantee i'll succeed due to the mods installed in your game (or maybe the save I will send you back won't be compatible)

If we won't find a solution for this mission then you can safely ignore it since it doesn't impact the main storyline.

nvm i moved my cleo folder somewhere else and finished the mission by landing the heli before the game could crash just be quick, and turns out you don't have to follow the red line on the image you gave for the game to not crash. Now that i finished that mission i can go on and continue as normal, thanks for the help.
